Wild Card and Redeye joust at the finish

Waglan 5-6

After a short delay waiting for the wind to settle, seven IRC racers crossed the start of a 20-nautical-mile race to Shek O Rock and back on Sunday, the 23rd of November. In fine and dry conditions, the racing fleet was followed in five minutes by five PHS cruising boats on a shorter course as they all powered away to the southeast in a fresh 12- to 14-knot breeze – thank you, northeast monsoon!

First home in a time of two and a half hours was PHS A entry, DBX2. But, in an exciting end to their race, five IRC entries approached the finish at Round Island 20 minutes later. With mere seconds between them, Arcturus+ claimed line honours in IRC 2.

Handicap winner of IRC 1 was Wild Card, and in IRC 2, Intrigue. In the two cruiser divisions, DBX2 won PHS A, and in PHS 2, Rising Sun emerged victorious.
